Vegetarian Meat Yummy Recipes

Nowadays, it seems like people everywhere are continually switching to vegetarian diets. When people think of a vegetarian diet, however, they often think of bland and tasteless food. So to banish these myths, we’ve modified traditional Indian recipes to create vegetarian dishes that are not only flavorful, but have some kick to them as well. Here are some easy recipes for beginning vegetarians who are looking to try out some new dishes. With these dishes, you’ll never miss meat again!

Spicy Vegetable Curry

When a person wants something with a lot of flavor, curry will take things to another level. To start:

1. Cook carrots, green beans, green peppers, split peas until softened but still crispy.
2. Mix coriander, sambar powder, and chili powder with a little water until it forms a paste.
3. Heat the vegetables in a skillet with a touch of cumin and mustard seeds.
4. Stir in the curry paste.
5. Add a touch of turmeric, cilantro, a tablespoon or two of shredded coconut, a pinch of brown sugar, and salt to taste.
6. Let simmer for ten to fifteen minutes and serve hot!

Deep Fried Vegetable Dumplings

Dumplings are another tasty meatless dish that people will enjoy eating.

1. In a skillet, heat a little bit of oil.
2. Add cumin seeds and allow them to crack a little, then add ginger, garlic, green chilies, and onions.
3. Allow this to cook for two minutes. In the meantime, steam four cups of vegetables. You can use any vegetables, but some delicious choices are carrots, peppers, potatoes, and cauliflower.
4. Add veggies to the pan and sprinkle tumeric powder and a little salt. Mash the mixture in the pan and allow to cook for five minutes. Let cool a little.
5. When the mixture is cooled, add some coriander and lemon juice. Shape the mixture into small balls.
6. Next, make a batter with all-purpose flour, rice flour, red chili powder, and salt. Add enough water to thicken the batter, and then dip the balls in the batter and fry in oil until light golden brown.
7. Drain the balls on a paper towel and serve warm.

Spicy Potato Curry Soup

Some of the most delectable Indian food comes in the form of soup, and they can easily be served as a side dish or as a main course. To make a filling soup with a lot of flavor, follow these quick steps:

1. In a saucepan, toast cumin seeds in oil.
2. Cut potatoes into cubes and add to pan.
3. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, tamarind paste, chopped tomato, salt, one cup of water and enough vegetable stock to cover the mixture. Allow this to cook until the potatoes are tender.
